The Baltimore Ravens Draft wasn’t full of many surprises. The team stayed put in each of their draft slots and walked away with 9 total draft picks to help fill many of their positional needs. The O-Line was in dire need of bolstering, along with cornerback/safety, EDGE, and wide receiver.
Baltimore Ravens Draft Results: Round One
In round one, the Ravens had to wait quite a while before it was their turn, but when they were finally on the clock, their pick was one that was highly praised. With pick 30 of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Nate Wiggins, a cornerback out of Clemson. Wiggins ran the second-fastest 40-yard dash at a blazing 4.28 seconds. This speed is going to allow him to keep up with anyone who comes his way. Wiggins was one of 30 players to visit Baltimore on an official visit and the team couldn’t believe that he fell that far.
In fact, it wasn’t until pick 15 that any defensive player came off the board, and pick 22 was the first of the cornerbacks. Wiggins was surprised that he wasn’t picked earlier too because he knew he was a high-caliber player.
«It was a lot of emotions, just thinking I was going to go earlier and then falling to 30,» Wiggins said. «But I’m happy to be here, man. I’m happy to be in Baltimore. I couldn’t be happier.»
Baltimore Ravens Draft Results: Round Two
The Ravens picked up offensive tackle, Roger Rosengarten from Washington with the 62nd overall pick in the second round. The Ravens interviewed Rosengarten at the combine and stated that he, «checked all the boxes». They had also seen him play in the Senior Bowl and knew that they wanted him to help fill out the offensive line. At 6-foot-five, he’s a big guy, and not only that, he’s talented. He’s a mobile pass-protector and was able to keep the blindside of quarterback Michael Pennix Jr a safe one.
Baltimore Ravens Draft Results: Round Three
In the third round, with the 93rd overall pick, the Ravens chose EDGE, Adisa Isaac. It really hurt losing three-time Pro Bowler Jadeveon Clowney in the free agency. Drafting Isaac was an important move for the team. GM Eric DeCosta said in an interview with the press that Isaac fits in with the team because of his physical style of play. With that physical style of play comes a stellar sack record, something fans will love to see.
Baltimore Ravens Draft Results: Round Four
Devontez Walker, a wide receiver from North Carolina was next up for the Ravens. With the loss of Odell Beckham Jr. and Devin Duvernay during the free agency, the team really needed to add some additional receiver depth. Walker will bring just that. It’s been said that he was one of the top performers at the combine, despite not having a great outing at the Senior Bowl. He’s fast (4.36 second dash) and he had the second-longest broad jump at 11-foot-2-inches. His presence is sure to help stretch the field.

Conclusion
The Ravens stayed patient and seemed to know exactly which players they wanted to bring on board. This strategy has paid off in the past for the team and it looks like it’s paid off again this year. They’ve earned an average overall draft grade of an A- for their efforts. Fans will be looking to see these new talents take the field and make an immediate impact in the 2024 season.
