Is there anything more exciting than the release of your favorite NFL team’s schedule? Well, yes, but we don’t care because we’re degenerates and football is life. Highlighting my initial reactions to the Steelers’ matchups this coming season, let’s dive in:
- The Steelers open the season with OC Arthur Smith marching back into his old stadium to take on his former team, the Atlanta Falcons. Revenge game to start the season? Yes, please.
- Wait. Back-to-back revenge games?! In Week 2, Russell Wilson will be back in Denver to take on his former team. You know, the one that cut him but will still pay him $37.79 million to be our QB? The Broncos were wild for that one. Let’s see who will get the last laugh. This is must-see TV.
- Week 9 BYE, we’ll definitely take that!
- Wait we don’t have a divisional matchup until week 11?! That means we have 10 weeks to get this new offense in sync but also means by week 11 that we may be riddled with injuries.
- What’s this? We close the season with three games in 10 days? Oh, it’s also against the Eagles, Ravens, and then the Chiefs on Christmas. Merry Christmas to Yinz.
As we gear up for this exciting season, filled with dramatic storylines, one thing is clear: being a Steelers fan is never dull. From revenge games to holiday showdowns, every week promises to be a thrilling ride. Buckle up, Steeler Nation—it’s going to be a season to remember!
