The All-Pro agreed to a 4 year-136 million dollar extention with a 38 million dollar signing bonus.
It’s done. After months of speculation and plenty of criticism over how Jerry Jones and the front office have handled the situation, CeeDee Lamb has been taken care of and is coming home.
The deal will figure in at $34 million a year as well as a $38 million dollar signing bonus. Lamb has been away from the team during training camp while waiting for the extention. He will have a little less than two weeks to practice with the team to get him up to speed. The Cowboys lack depth at the wide receiver position, with veteran Brandin Cooks the presumed WR2 and up and coming receiver Jalen Tolbert expected to make a leap in his third season, so the extention for Lamb was the top priority for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys now look to get an extension done for quarterback Dak Prescott who is on the final year of his current deal. The Cowboys open the season on September 8th against the Cleveland Browns.
