Tyreek Hill Races Into End Zone As Dolphins Win
After a controversial pre-game arrest, Tyreek Hill thankfully made it to Hard Rock Stadium for the contest against the Jaguars. He was such an integral part of the game as he caught 7 balls for 130 yards, including an 80 yard sprint to the End Zone. Waddle also did his part with a line of 5 receptions for 109 yards.
In what is a concentrated offense, the Dolphin’s stars pulled their weight. The rushing game wasn’t very productive, but Achane scored a touchdown on the ground, and did most of his damage in the receiving game with 7 receptions for 76 yards.
The play calling wasn’t up to Mcdaniel’s normally lofty standards. There were also many drops, especially by the tight ends, which was partially responsible for the Dolphins finding themselves in a 14 point hole. There was booing in the crowded stadium until Achane’s 1 yard touchdown got Miami on the board. Miami headed into halftime down 17-7, where according to Greg Cote of the Miami Herald «It was Tagovailoa’s passionate halftime talk that helped spark the second-half rally»
The defense seemed inspired by Tua’s speech, and then went on to hold the Jaguars scoreless in the second half. Jevon Holland’s forced fumble was instrumental in the victory. The special teams unit also played a key role in the game, from punter Jake Bailey often pinning the Jags deep, to Jason Sanders going from goat, to hero, as he made a huge 52 yard game winning field goal.
All in all, it was a hard fought victory, in which Miami held on, never gave up, and came out victorious.
